Terms of Use
What this website is, and what it is not.
Last updated 8 August 2026.
This website is not therapy and it is not an emergency service. Reading it, or sending me a message through it, does not make you my client and does not create a therapeutic relationship. If you are in distress right now, call 780-482-4357, or 911 if you are in danger. You can also call or text 988 any time. More crisis resources →
Who runs this site
Carly Colasimone, MA, operating as Good Carma Therapy in Edmonton, Alberta. You can reach me at colasimonecounselling@gmail.com or (780) 952-0091.
What you can use this site for
To learn how I work, decide whether I might be a fit, and get in touch. That is genuinely it.
What it is not
- It is not therapy. Articles and resources here are general writing, not advice about your situation. I do not know your situation from a page view.
- It is not a diagnosis. Nothing here tells you what is or is not happening for you. There are no quizzes or self-scoring tools on this site, on purpose.
- It is not urgent care. I am not monitoring the contact form. If you need someone now, the numbers above reach a real person.
Where I can practise
My registration is provincial. I can work with you only if you are physically located in Alberta at the time of a session. This is a legal requirement, not a preference, and it applies to video and phone sessions the same as in person.
Fees and insurance
Fees are confirmed with you directly before anything is booked. Nothing on this site is a quote, and I do not claim that any particular insurance plan covers my services. Whether you are covered is between you and your insurer, and I would rather you check than take my word for it.
What I do not promise
Therapy is not a product with a guaranteed result. Nothing on this site promises a particular outcome, a timeline, or that any approach will work for you. Anyone who does promise you that is worth being careful of.
Booking
Appointments are booked through Jane, which is a separate service with its own terms. Cancellation and rescheduling are covered in what I send you when you book.
The writing on this site
The words and images here are mine. You are welcome to link to anything, and to quote a short passage with a credit and a link. Please do not republish whole pieces.
Links out
Where I link to another organisation, such as a crisis line or a professional body, I am pointing you at something useful. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for what they say or do.
If these terms change
The date at the top changes with them.
Where these terms apply
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and of Canada. My professional conduct is governed by the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Canadian Psychological Association’s Code of Ethics, which sit above anything written on this page. If you have a concern about my conduct, the College is the right place to take it.
